Sound Healing
We use frequencies for so many gadgets in our current culture. For tens of thousands of years, cultures have used frequencies through music and sound to help with body, emotional, mental, and spiritual concerns. Today, we are rediscovering just how beneficial sound can be for healing.
"An external rythm or tempo can entrain our internal rythms to synchronize with it. Our heart rate, breathing, brain waves all begin to move into sync with the pulse or tone we're hearing."
- Dr. Anita Collins
At Buelow Wellness we use a number of frequency and sound based tools. Through the use of tuning forks and Tibetan sound bowls it is possible to work in every level to clear blockages and align cellular frequencies. For groups, we use crystal singing bowls and pyramids to tap into unique experiences through a sound bath. Usually as an aid when doing Reiki we use biaural beats to help create a healing frequency.
What will sound healing be effective in helping with?
On the physical level -
Due to the fact that matter has specific frequencies based on its molecular composition, sound can be used to put organs back into healthy vibration, detox the body, help relieve aches, and so much more.
On the mental level -
Sound can help to gain a meditative state, which helps to relieve stress and anxiety. This can help quiet the repetitive thought patterns that are not serving you allowing for a deep inner peace.
On the emotional level -
As evident when listening to music, sound helps to move stagnant energy allowing stored emotions to be released. By clearing these blockages you allow for greater flow of energy throughout the body, which helps to strengthen and balance each chakra, bringing about the potential for greater emotional stability.
On the spiritual level -
Working with frequencies and sound in the aura, energies that have been taken on or carried with us from past experiences can be cleared. This allows us to move forward in more positive ways.
"Everything in life is vibration"
- Albert Einstein
Western culture is catching up to the idea that the body is more than a material unit. The fact that all cells vibrate at specific frequencies to create matter has lead many studies into how those frequencies can be taken out of and brought back to an original vibration. Based on research performed by Barbara Hero M.S. and Dr. Masaru Emoto we have learned that matter has specific frequencies when formed as specific items (organs) and water when introduced to specific vibrations can change its molecular structure.
How do I gain the result I want to acheive?
Believe that healing is possible!
You must believe that you are worthy of, and capable of, positive change and that the future holds better possibilities than your present experience.
Trust that even though you cannot see or control the process, it is working on a deep level.
Allow yourself to let go during healing sessions. Your body will naturally relax and align with the healing frequencies.
You are not seperate from the Earth.
You are not in control over nature, but a part of the whole.
Blockages are a part of healing.
Suppressing emotions creates blockages that during healing may come to the surface to be dealt with. Blockage release can help to lighten or darken our moods, we must learn from the emotions and move forward until the healing is complete.
You are more powerful than any fear you create.
Fear is a feeling we create to slow down from moving forward. Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of not being good enough, etc, etc, etc. Understand your power and worth to allow yourself to work through the fear.
Have an interest in the fact that the Universe is composed of energetic vibrations.
If you're not interested in how sound and frequency can help, then you won't get much from it. You must be an active participant in your own healing.
You can be responsible for your own self-care!
Giving yourself the love and compassion it takes to care for yourself is not a selfish act. Creating happiness and well-being within yourself can allow you to give more of yourself to others.
Sleep and rest is important while healing.
Give yourself the grace and understanding to know that while you are healing you are not going to function at 100%. Anytime that change occurs we must redefine what normal is.
Denial doesn't mean that a problem doesn't exist.
You must acknowledge that there is a problem or issue and begin to address it. You must implement changes that need to be made to live a healthier life.
